<bounce> <bounce> <bounce> Blink is another excellent Doctor Who episode by Steven Moffat (Coupling, Press Gang, as well as the previous episodes Girl in the Fireplace, The Empty Child, and The Doctor Dances). Beautifully written. I just had to say "Wow!" Definitely another award contender IMNSHO. And it really doesn't hurt that the lead is Carey Mulligan, who does an excellent job. (Not to mention "because you are hot and life is short." Hey, I've already said I'm shallow...)

I was so impressed by the character of Sally Sparrow that I really felt the need to make an icon of her. I narrowed my choice down to two possible base pictures, both of which have great allure.
While both excellent pictures of a very attractive young lady I thought the first slightly bedraggled one to be both (ahem) much cuter and much more appropriate (it being taken from very near where the icon's caption was paraphrased [I felt no need to mention that she ws hot, as this is quite self-evident]). In truth, I think one of the reasons I like Steven Moffat's work so much is that he is a romantic at heart, and he builds such wonderfully strong and interesting female characters in whatever he does. And, sadly, I'm an incurable romantic at heart. <sigh>

Agreed. I enjoyed it muchly. Nice and creepy in parts (the Angels, not Carey Mulligan). Hooray for Steven Moffat :)

The thing that surprised me is that in many of the scenes the angels are actually living actors. It obviously being cheaper to use an actor that can hold really really still than to cast many different forms of angel statues.
