I am entertained! (after a little digging, the series seems to be "只此江湖梦", which seems to translate to "Only This Dream", but also known as "Love and Sword" in English ... you might have already known that, since you're watching it 😁) (... so is there a handy place online that has the whole series ...?)
I do miss my HK cinema. Mainland Chinese cinema was starting to approach the quality of the old HK cinema before the big political purge hit it in 2018 (from insufficient kickbacks to certain members of the CCP from what my sources say). So I generally have to put up with Chinese TV soap opera, donghua, Korean TV and movies, and Tollywood (Bollywood is too political and jingoistic these days).
I've never really managed written or spoken Mandarin or Cantonese. Given that people really do cringe when I even make an attempt to speak any tonal language I never really made the attempt to actually learn it. Beyond the natural osmosis from watching HK cinema for a number of decades. [Currently translating some Swedish RPGs and I only manage about a half-hour of that before my brain breaks. At this rate it's about three years to go. But then my attempts to translate Throan (which is in a language I can grok) goes about two decades now. But then the double negative for emphasis in French has always given me a severe headache.]
I've been watching a lot of Chinese soap opera via the You of Tubes. Particularly with the group >a href="https://www.youtube.com/@HiDrama2">HiDrama, where I believe this one comes from. There is also an Arab group which has a lot of titles, but generally lacks an English translation, so that probably doesn't help. And one channel that is quite good with it's recommendations, but my normal Chinese DVD supply has gone less reliable and is under embargo from Paypal these days, so there is little chance of actually finding them.
<sigh>
May you and yours all have a very Happy Silly Season!
