Here are some of the other shows that struck me as possibly interesting. No way am I going to be able to see many of them. The green ones I'm more likely to go to after I have thought about it. Italicized ones are likely to disappear (on price if nothing else), unless someone wants to go with me.

I'd liked to have seen The Picture Box Orchestra except it clashed with another one-off performance.

Now if all these shows were spread throughout the year rather than just over a month...

I would highly recommend Who, Me? (by that Rob guy from the Goodies and Hounds of the Baskerville things). He performed it at Armageddon Melbourne (to an audience full of Sci Fi fans) and it's got some great stuff in it for any sort of Doctor Who fan.

The fact that it is Rob is the primary reason it is list, rather than the fact that it is a commentary on Dr Who. After all, you were there when we were making all the David Tennant jokes about him, weren't you? <grin>

And there are enough shows that I feel no urgency to book and am willing to wait to see what people decide.

Plus I was annoyed that a lot of the shows I booked early to see last year ended up as $10 tickets on the day. One of the drawbacks of their new method of doing stuff.

You should definitely see 'Science of Fiction', because M. is in it!!

Rob from 'Who Me' (see previous comment) is also on board.

What is it about mathematicians and physicists that their careers are turning into comedy?

Hmmm. But how would I know who the mysterious an elusive M is?

And would I understand all that physics and mathy stuff that's likely to be in the show?

On a similar note, happy silly season to you both and I hope the move goes well.

A tragicomic insight...

I will regally ignore your disclaimers about not understanding the "physics and mathy stuff." Nice try :-)

I am rather hoping that I might come over for Fringe for a few days, perhaps in late Feb, and it would be great to see at least one show in your good company. Am very attracted by "So You Think You Can Prance" (I have just the right handkerchief), medieval music and singing, puppetry, cellists, dance.

Thank you for the good wishes, they are very much appreciated.

I'm not so sure. I've forgotten an awful lot of it. I mean, it took me over five minutes to derive the equations of a Hohmann transfer orbit from first principles last week - and time travel's bound to be a lot more difficult than that!

On the other hand I shall indeed look forward to accompanying one or both of you to the Fringe to a show of your deciding. I suspect I might need to work out where I put my snuff box...
