There is a reason I like Eliza Rickman's music. For a Silly Little Soldier she has a very Pretty Little Head.

[This is mainly a note to myself. It's getting difficult to keep track of all the small artists I like and the great work they are producing. Especially now that the MySpace has been rendered absolutely useless by trying to pretend to be Farcebook.<sigh>]

[Quite amused by one of the violinists in the last one. The perfect accompanist for playing Shaking the Sheets (one of my favourite Steeleye Span pieces)!

Fringe Addenda: Probably nothing more this weekend as I have Axis of Awesome on Monday and The Twoks on Tuesday and I kind of missed out on yesterday completely whilst recovering.

:D Thankyou for the link - I've ordered her EP (which, by the way, comes with free shipping to non-US addresses, if anyone was wondering...)

Gilding the Lily is an excellent EP. [Although I suspect you may be wrong about the free shipping, as you'll probably find out if you check your email box in a day or two. A lot of bands haven't got the hang of adjusting their PayPal shop fronts for non-US addresses as yet, and she was one of them. Although it did mean we got to chat via email. It's so fun when an artist discovers people overseas have heard of her. <grin>]

She has been working on a new album in Chicago recently (or at least I think she has), so there is the possibility of a full CD in the near future.

I do have to admit I like the fact there is an official clip for Black Rose (even if it is so sad*), which is probably my favourite of her songs from the EP, although I do like Pretty Little Head, and Silly Little Soldiers.

* Although I think the movie Strings did an excellent job of exploring this motif.
