Portuguese is so much easier to read than Spanish. Especially when you have actually not studied either one. Currently having fun reading some teasers for foreign RPG rules and contemplating grabbing actual copies of them, thanks to a recent posts on Grognardia. From Brazil we have Old Dragon, and Tagmar. From Spain we have Aventuras en la Marca del Este. From France we have La Brigade Chimérique and Tigres Volants, although I'm having fun rereading In Nomine Satannis / Magna Veritas. And I really must finish off my Nephilim and World of Tiers translations, although colloquial French tends to tie my brains in knots. They also did an excellent version of Hawkmoon. Speaking of translations I have the original Kult books by Äventyrsspel, but Swedish is lot harder than it looks. I might actually need to learn something about the language before I make the attempt. I really must look at some of the German games sometime. After all, it's the only language I've actually officially studied. |
