For those Lego fanatics out there who might not have seen this yet (and this is possibly addressed to you [livejournal.com profile] davidcook), we present ... Serenity.

A couple of random quizzes snatched from other people's blogs that amused me.

Your word is BUGGER. You are generally quite
restrained, but sometimes your anger or
frustration come to the surface and it all
comes out. Yet you somehow can't stop sounding
polite, despite it all.

Which Swear (Curse) Word Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Actually quite true in my case. Although, if taken by surprise I'm more likely to use the French "merde" (although if truly taken by surprise I often forget to translate it into French). And Russian is very useful if you want to curse someone; sometimes I think that most of the Russian language (or at least the most of the language I'm familiar with) ontologically devolves into a curse of some kind. Although I am also envious of the poetic nature of curses in both Spanish and Arabic, especially when dealing with recalcitrant mechanical devices.

Your Birthdate: June 18
Your birthday on the 18th day of the month suggests than you are one who can work well with a group, but still remain someone who needs to maintain individual identity.

There is a humanistic or philanthropic approach to business circumstances in which you find yourself.

You may have good executive abilities, as you are very much the organizer and administrator.

You are broad-minded, tolerant and generous; a compassionate person that can inspire others with imaginative ideas.

Some of your feelings may be expressed, but even more of them are apt to be repressed.

There is a lot of drama in your personality and in the way you express yourself to others.

Oddly enough, you don't expect as much in return as you give.

What Does Your Birth Date Mean?

Which seems to hold some truth with respect to me, although I'd quibble at most of the details (but then isn't that the nature of any horoscope).

I am reminded of Greg Stoltze's excellent role-playing game Unknown Armies and how it dealt with character personality types. It simply divided them into 12 distinct types by giving them an astrological birth month, since somebody else had already gone to great trouble to define 12 distinct personality types (and many sub-personality types) to boot.

And the rennaissance dance group at UnivAd can be blamed for the choice of this entry's mood music. After all, if A Knight's Tale can do it...

Yup, saw the Lego Serenity ... ummm ... somewhere else on LJ, but they only beat you by a day or so. Btw, I'm [livejournal.com profile] davidcook, not [livejournal.com profile] dcook :-)

Would you believe I was talking to my other Lego fanatic friend who also happens to be called dcook?

No?

Probably quite sensible of you. <grin>
