I should also mention that I quite enjoyed the Juice Collective's aerial shenanigans. Although it does seem to be an awful lot of effort to have gone through for a cup of orange juice. I wonder how long it would take for them to make a half-soy vanilla mocha chino...

And many people have been recommending the shadow puppet show Sticks, Stones, and Broken Bones, both for the amazing virtuosity of the shadow puppets and the artistry involved in creating them out of miscellaneous junks.and positioning of hands. Of particular fun was the fight of an audience member with a real shadow shinobi...

Last year I discovered that My Friend The Chocolate Cake was playing at the Fringe ... the day after they actually did so (admittedly the Fringe hadn't officially started yet, but still, it was rather irritating). This time, as soon as I heard they were playing, I scooped up tickets. Which was a good thing, as their single Adelaide show has been sold out for some weeks now.

Anyway they played to a packed house in the Speigeltent, with the audience applause after each number only grudgingly giving way for the next song. Superb. [The live performances are much more energetic and "alive" (infectious even) than the samples on their MySpace page may indicate. They rocked the house.]

And the good news is that it means I finally got my cello fix for this Fringe (as well as some handy double bass and an extra dose of Xani on violin)! My next Fringe is probably on Saturday when I get to see Sound & Fury again. Only this time, I had better wear a cunning disguise!
