Having artfully forgotten that I had a Fringe show yesterday (although given the amount of pain I was in, this was probably a good thing), I'm tempted by the possibility of attending a Fringe show or two in the next few days. Well, Friday anyway. Anyone interested? I'm tempted by Randy's Postcards from Hell, Sammy J, or the Paradoxical Adventures of Andre and Lawrence, Time Ninjas

I am intending to see Brillig's free gig at the Garden of Unearthly Delight (although by now, given the lack of rain and number of people, the term Garden is probably misleading) on Saturday from 2-4pm, followed by Sound & Fury Presents Sherlock Holmes and the Saline Solution at 7:15pm (also at the Garden), and then go see Tinpan Orange at the Wheatie on Sunday from 4pm. Still don't know if I'm up to the Spiral gig afterwards though, even if it just around the corner.

I have a spare tiocket to the Tinpan Orange gig if anyone is interested. Just as I have a spare ticket to The Twoks and My Friend the Chocolate Cake.

I've also bought tickets to Sound & Fury on Saturday (with [livejournal.com profile] quuux) mainly because I've seemed to miss out the previous 3 times I've attempted to go their show... this time, I bought the tickets in advance!

We were meeting for dinner at Taj Tandoor beforehand (5.30 for 6) if you were interested...

I also already have my ticket for Tinpan Orange on Sunday, so your spare may have to go to someone else... I can check if Sergei is available to come, he may be willing to take that spare off your hands :) After TPO, I'll be heading into see Lumina doing Australian Soundscapes in Gay's Arcade.

I is there at dinner. Although you do want to queue a bit earlier for this show so as to chat to the guys (Richard, Shelby, and Vinnie) beforehand. I wonder if they will do their firework busget joke. It's about due.

MFTCC and The Twoks? Playing a double-bill together? Damn...

Actually it's two separate gigs/tickets. Welcome to the Fringe. One month of lots of good entertainment followed by eleven months of comparative drought...

Ah - my misunderstanding. I read "a spare ticket to [band A] and [band B]" in, well, a manner that I'm sure is fairly obvious.

I've always been a little bemused by the overlap between WOMAdelaide and the ADL Fringe, when the rest of the year is relatively light on comparable events. I know it's unlikely to be an accident, but there are only so many hours in the month...

Don't forget the great bloody car race and the Adelaide Film Festival and the Festival of Arts every other year, all crammed into March. Not that I'm interested in the car race, apart from avoiding the circuit (which is nearly next door).

It really is frankly ridiculous. I believe it's to try and tempt interstate visitors to attend more than one event, although I can't see many fans of the car race being interested in WomAdelaide, myself.
