<sob> There are to be no more Girl Genius comics. Instead the Girl Genius comics are moving online at http://www.girlgeniusonline.com from April 18 at the rate of 3 pages a week. They will still be collected together in the each collection, but ... no more individual issues.

You just had me cursing loudly and violently with this news, much to the surprise of both Asagwe and the friend on the phone at the time! Drat and blast it - I like the individual Girl Genius editions, enough that they're the one thing I don't collect in trade paperback form!

I feel much the same way. I loved the individual issues and awaited each new one with baited breath. Especially for the addenda at the back by Phil and Kaja's fellow acadamecians. But one can understand their attempt to raise their profile and improve their money flow. Then again, they have started to revise the collections anyway. Volume Thee (a misprint which is leading to Volumes Thou and Thine) has two additional pages not seen in individual comics, so I'll have to get the collections anyway to get a complete collection.<sigh>
