Tempted to go see Golonka at 4pm on Sunday October 2 at the Wheatie. Gypsy! And Melbournean songstress Amaya Laucirica at 9pm Staurday October 8 looks interesting too. Reminiscent of Julee Cruise in some respects Both free, btw..

My attendance at both events probably subject to the clemency of the weather in additional to all other required statutory disclaimers.

It's been a serious live music drought since two of my favourite local bands have both gone into seclusion in order to write songs for their upcoming albums. Although Matt sure has a right purdy hat. [And come to think of it is playing out at Semaphore for the Music Fest at the same time as Golonka (4:45-5:30pm at the Foreshore Reserve main venue on Sunday October 2). Unfortunately Semaphore, just like Saturday's Spiral gig, are a wee bit too distant for me these days.] Probably the next Brillig gig for me will be the launch of their next film clip on December 4th. Hmmm. They want a death song disco. I wonder if I have any songs that might apply...*

[* <grin> Was amused by someone complaining once that all the mosic I listened to was rather mournful, so I laughed (that scarey one from beyond the grave), and lent her a copy of S E Rogie's Palm Wine Music. Much to her regret when her sister stole it and played it continuously for the next couple of weeks. There is karma! <evil grin>]
