Music for this month included:

Herne's Apprentice, Spirit of Albion, Tales from the Crow Man, The Cauldron Born, and The Hills They Are Hollow by Damh the Bard. I didn't grab the Live album when I should have and so missed out on his excellent rendition of Anarchy in the UK. It was interesting how many young 'uns hadn't heard the original and were looking in askance at their Baby Boomer parents joining in. Every generation thinks they are the rebels. Haven't heard anything of Adrienne's scheme to bring him out again next year. She was seeking sponsorship.

Adventures of the HMS Brucie, Don't Worry About Brucie and Out the Window, Over the Gate by The Fiddle Chicks. They'll be playing at the Grace Emily on July 14 and I'll be there.

Tears Again by Jane Badler and Sir, courtesy of Spicks & Specks and V. Speaking of which, I must also grab a copy of The Graveyard Train's album as well. (Ballad For Beelzebub and Mummy videos). And thanks to the wonders of the InterTubes I have already done so. Although sadly a physical copy, which shall have to wait for a postman before I can hear it. They do have a Bandcamp site but it's still "coming soon."

And because it fits my mood at the moment, a copy of Frank Wildhorn's version of Jeckyl and Hyde, code-named Ressurection, which is sorely lacking Linda Eder's vocals as Lucy, but as a plus side it doesn't feature The Hoff in the leading role (which is both excrutiatingly painful and excrutiatingly funny). Come back Tony, all is forgiven.

Hill of Thieves by Cara Dillon. Her first album on her own label which is the only reason I missed it until now. I think it was the last time I went to Womadelaide that I enjoyed her performing against a starlit sky to about thirty of us. Wonderful and magical are superlatives that might apply.

Dr Steel and Dr Steel II: Electric Boogaloo by Dr Steel. What can you say about a musician with his own army of toy soldiers? [I do recommend watching the video you find there. You will watch the dancing monkey.] And you might as well watch The Dr Steel Show if you've gotten this far and the brainwashing techniques embedded in this entry haven't succeeded.

["Monkey? What monkey?"]

Also was given the soundtrack for Witcher 2. Nice music.

And I've just grabbed two copies of A Romance of Ghosts by Bone Orchard (since it was only $3 more expensive than getting one copy). Anyone local desperate for a copy (A$15 with postage), or shall it go into my gift-giving collection? Speaking of which I have a Don't Worry About Brucie to give away too.

And a few orphans from the collection of Collide remixes from Vortex.

Also contributed to the Kickstarter by Galanis and will contribute to the one by Eliza Rickman for new music. Methinks I've spent enough money on music this month. =8(

Edit: Ooops. Forgot to add Vera Causa and The Burning Season by Faith and the Muse and Elysium Remixes by Azam Ali. Now I definitely know I've been depressed.

I must really get back to doing some more serious research. My choices have become almost pedestrian and mainstream.
