Still bouncing and I don't think it was the sugar hit! [Although the Mango On Black Sticky Rice With Coconut Milk was very nice.]

Saw Tripod vs the Dragon again and it was probably as good the second time around. Although this time I got to listen to a lot more of the banter, and more importantly the songs. Elana's Dragon's Lament still moved me greatly (a tribute to both Scod's words and her ability to sing). Her other bits were quite good as well, especially Gatesy's Dream. Gatsey's redemption song was also excellent. Fortunately there will be a CD soundtrack out by the end of the week (but probably not in time for the Adelaide Fringe). Although I do hope that there is a DVD too. The visual stuff is half of what makes it work really really well.*

Tripod were quite amused to discover a group of individuals wearing pointy hats in the front row of the audience when they came out, so that worked quite well. And I probably gave a number of collectors heart attacks (at least when someone in the know finds out) when I alienated one of my spare copies of the original boxed set (6th printing/white box) by getting them to sign it. They'd never even seen a copy before.

I am such a fanboy.

And Elana Stone will be fronting the Elana Stone Band at the Grab Bag** in The Famous Spiegeltent in Elder Park on Saturday 13 March. It's a free event in the actual Festival of Arts on a Saturday night, starting around 11:30 or so (once the paid shows have finished), so it's going to be absolutely packed (I predict). Still I am going to try and make it.

* Yes, this probably means that [livejournal.com profile] derigeur will want to see it again. And have a valid excuse to do so.

** Although I do note in passing that in my Fringe mania I forgot to check the Festival and discovered I've missed a team up of Paul Grabowsky and Megan Washington. Which has/had potential. Oh well.

It looks like I was wrong about Lateline discussing the implications of e-books on Thursday night. <shrug>

We have always been at war with Eurasia.
