Just in case people haven't heard, the usual Spiral Dance gig at the Directors hotel on December 13 has been cancelled.

Instead we have:

Spiral Dance's Midsummer Night's Faerie Ball and Fey Ceilidh

Strap on your faerie wings, lace up your dancing shoes, douse yourself with glitter and come and join Spiral Dance and the Fey Folk to celebrate Summer Solstice and their last show of the season.

Saturday 13th December at the Verdun Hall, Main Road, Verdun (take the Hahndorf turnoff from the freeway and follow the signs)

7.00 pm to Witching Hour
Admission $5 – kids are free
BYO drinks and picnic tea

Prizes for the best dress faerie, goblin and pixie
Enquiries to: info (AT) spiraldance (DOT) com (DOT) au or 8131 0228

For those that don't know a ceilidh is a traditional gaelic dance-meet, so expect to be forced to dance with mad dancey things (although Spiral's repertoire tends to more Breton than Scots or Irish). I probably should lend them some pavanes and allemandes (or at the very least, some English country dances like Peas, Shoes, and Horses {I know several people that would enjoy Horses a lot). Now all I have to do is work out some method of getting up to Verdun. Somehow I don't think I'm up to cycling there any more...
