Extreme self-inflicted pain.

Emphasis on self-inflicted; no commiserations required.

Normal service will be resumed after the screaming stops.

[Adrienne commands me to give [livejournal.com profile] freyaw a hug from her, since she wasn't there, and Herself noticed her absence. Consider this virtual <hug> to be my fulfilment of the command.]

Cock-Eyed Molly on Friday at the Brecknock for those interested. Thankfully there will be no dancing. I hope. Must remember to see about tickets for Jeff Martin & The Armada too. <sigh>

While I remember, the PDQ# (that's PDQ-Sharp for the well-informed) rule brochure is available as a free download from DriveThruRPG. Yep. Free. Gratis. This is the version of the Prose Descriptive Qualities system from Atomic Sock Monkey that will drive the upcoming Swashbucklers of the 7 Skies game, soon to be released by the excellent people at Evil Hat Games.

But if you can't wait to sail the Dome, then there are a number of quality ASM games available through the above link. I particularly recommend Dead Inside (you've gone and lost your soul; now you have to go and get a new one) and The Zantabulous Zorceror of Zo (fantasy adventures in a world of fairy tales and fables). Both well worth reading and playing.

Day fades to night, crows homeward flight,
Across the sky, dark clouds will fly, to where dreams lie.
At the edge of the world, blackwinged shadows swirled, stands one old gray tree.
One crow tells of the sadness, two bring mirth yet madness, beneath the gray tree.
Three crows dream together, four crows tell of birth, five crows laugh forever,
Six crows tears fall down on the blacked earth,
Seven crows tells of wishes, eight crows bring soft kisses, beneath the gray tree.
Nine crows cast no shadow, ten crows fill the sky.
Eleven crows cross the meadow, twelve crows touch the stars to the moon they fly.
Thirteen crows keep the secret, n'er to be spoken, beneath the gray tree,
Across the sky to where your dreams lie.
