It appears that the copyrights of a number of H Beam Piper's stories were never renewed. The result of this is that his works are slowly being added to Project Gutenberg. H Beam Piper is probably most well-known for his Fuzzy books (only a small part of his Terrohuman Future History) and Paratime stories (particularly Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen [UK title: Gunpowder God]). I particularly enjoyed his stories that consist of a collection of bewildered correspondance such as He Walked Around the Horses and Operation RSVP [1]. Although my favourite Piper story would have to be Lone Star Planet (aka A Planet For Texans).
