For the first time in a long time, and probably due to a slight overdose of caffeine, I dreamed last night and remembered it.

I was the teenage character in a Call of Cthulhu/Nephilim/Horror campaign set in pre-Heyson Tunnel Stirling (the satellite village in the Adelaide Hills, not the town in Scotland). Apart from the standard strange connectivity of dreams (for example there was a fabric shop that was run by two little old ladies, which was only open for the duration of the fabric fair being held on the neighbouring District Council lawns, and which served giant chocolate chip cookies) it was a rather nifty adventure of slowly being sucked into the Mythos (although the most horrific thing early on was dealing with the ghost of a dog and his master in Druid Avenue) with each bit of the adventure leading onto the next (I remember having to go back and redo a bit correctly in order to proceed), and things beginning to disintegrate as we missed clues (eventually we had to invoke the aid of Cerenous (the Celtic God of the Hunt) at a shrine in the basement of the corner deli in order to stay current with events and compensate for an important loop of "happenings" that we completely missed and were unable to stop [and get a really nifty pair of boots for stomping spiders]). The sense of lurking horror and immenient disaster was very well done.

Now I can't remember if it was something I thought up or something I actually played once in and remembered (albiet possibly slightly transposed to a familiar setting). <sigh>

Either way, it's still a funky plot...
